Beauty Bargains!!

Hi all! Today I thought I would share my recent beauty purchases and some amazing freebies and discounts!

In an earlier post HERE, I mentioned that there are some great freebies available in magazines that are out now. I managed to pick up a copy of Marie Claire magazine:

Which contained a mini Ciate polish in cookies and creme and a mini caviar beads in shooting stars.

This magazine also contained John Freida sheer blonde shampoo and conditioner sachets.

I'm still searching for a copy of Harpers bazaar with the free Leighton Denny colour and go polish duos-that isn't the pearly pink, this seems to be the only one I can find!

Also Red magazine has Elemis Pro-radiance illuminating Flash Balm samples.

Elle magazine has Rodial Brazilian tan-which is available in three shades: clear, light and dark.

There are so many more freebies out there at the minute but this was just my pick of the best.

I also want to let you in on a little secret...promise not to tell?
Use this code GLOSSY20 to get 20% off at Illamasqua-this can also be used with your 10% off loyalty discount. I may or may not have ordered a couple of polishes on Monday and they turned up today!

Now onto my little beauty splurge:

Firstly I bought a couple of essentials from boots: Rimmel stay matte powder in Translucent and Revlon colour burst lip butter in Peach Parfait. I have tried and love the lippy and as for the powder, I just wanted a cheaper alternative to my usual benefit Get even face powder, so thought I'd give this a try-I've heard a lot of good things about it.

Next is my little splurge at Tkmaxx; which I think is definitely more exciting!

First is Model co Fibre Lash-brush on false lashes. RRP £35-I paid £12.99 (I will be doing a review of this soon-it's great!)

Too Faced Cosmetics Liquif-eye Shadow collection RRP £23-I paid £6.99 I've wanted this for ages and always thought there were nicer palettes to spend my money on. I was wrong it's gorgeous and full of perfect summery shades. (again review to follow)

Too Faced Cosmetics Aqua Bunny waterproof creme to powder bronzer. RRP £22-I paid £6.99 (I don't do creme formulas, but this has made me think perhaps I could?!)

Too Faced lip of luxury Champagne infused lipstick in cupcake. A bubblegum pink with a slight shimmer. RRP £16.50-I paid £4.99

Last but not least was a little naughty treat! I used to watch a program on TV called Willies chocolate factory and this is one of the products-Hazelnut and raisin chocolate square! I never buy sweets but for £1.30 I was intrigued...

So there we go...I haven't had a very good couple of weeks and have followed the mantra: 'when the going gets rough, the tough get shopping!' I think I've done rather a good job-haha!
There is also a new handbag and pair of flip-flops-buts that's another story!

So that's my little bargains for the week..Oh dear it's only Wednesday! There are some new polishes too; which will be making their way onto a new post soon!

Have you stumbled across a beauty bargain of your own recently?

Thanks for reading.
Come back soon!

 June GlossyBox review:

This months theme is Summer looks, which seems appropriate as we've finally had some sunshine!

To be honest I'm not sure that my box goes with the theme very well...

Here's my box:

As usual I'll talk you through the items in the order of which I found them to be the most exciting!

Firstly I had a Figs & Rouge Coco Rose nourishing and soothing multi-purpose lipbalm. Having received a little Figs and Rouge tin in a previous Glossy Box and loved it I was excited to see this! Although it doesn't give any colour to my lips it has a nice sheen and is really moisturising! Plus how cute is the flamingo packaging?! It screams summer!
Full Size 12.5ml £5.00

Next is the Monu Facial wash. Whilst not being overly exciting it is a practical everyday type item-which Although, I love my regular cleanser I will give this a chance! Slightly worrying that the seal was broken when I got it out of the box though! It's also nice to know that I got more than the price of the box and p+p with this one item-bargain!
Full size 100ml £15.95

MEMEME Cosmetics long lasting nail gloss. In shade 66-innocent.
Now you all know how I love my nail polish, so I'm always happy to receive one in a glossybox. However as the box is a summer edition, the polish being a milky/nude shade with a sheer finish isn't exactly a shade I would wear to the beach! To me summer is all about the brights and being a little more adventurous with different shades, than perhaps you're used to! however I think it will make a nice shade for a french mani.
Full size 12ml £5.00

Helen E cosmetics Eye pencil with smudger in Brown!!
Brown-really?? Well doesn't that just scream summer! Haha. I think I will try this in the winter months. I might have been more excited by this had I not have had an email from GlossyBox with an offer for one of these eyeliners a while back. (long story short they sent me the wrong colour-they were amazing and instantly sent out the correct shade.) So I now have three of these eyeliners, I will try to do a review soon. They are nice and creamy, yet solid enough to get a nice precise line and the smudger is great for softening the look for a more smoky eye.
Full size 1.5g £8

Finally (i'm biased as I hate receiving hair products!) John Frieda sheer blonde everlasting blonde Shampoo and conditioner, which for me was the let down of the box. However it did mean that I got an extra item! I may try this at some point, but my hair is so temperamental that when I find something that works, I tend to stick to it!
These are 50ml samples and are apprx £1.17 each

Actually This was quite a good box, Just slightly unlucky in the fact that some of the items aren't really me. However I'm more than pleased with the value and sizes of the items-4 of which were full size and the total value is over £36.00! Not bad eh?!

Did you get any different items or perhaps more summery colours??

Also if you feel like joining up to Glossy Box I would love it if you would use my referral HERE!, Thanks Lovelies!
